=)in order to proof we love God, we should lose to ourselves. -Die to yourself, your love, wants, dreams, own desire.
Followers dun have commitment, Disciples have commitment.
v26"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. 27And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. 33In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.
=) Jesus wants real disciple in order to change the world.

- your own life = your future wondering how can God commands us to honour our parents and asking us to hate our father and mother?
Jesus was refering in this verse the competition of loyalthy. is when you choose between Jesus and Family, who will u choose?

2) Purpose -person goals. Luke 14:27 27And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple

A Real Disciple Will Not Do Anything Without Asking Jesus Opinions.

3 Qns to determine whether you are true disciples?. 1. In the last six months, has decisions you make please the Lord or feed your ego? 2. When you make decisions, die you ask God for final approval? 3. Are you willing to change your goals?
3) Personal Possessions possessions=time, energy, things
Jesus is not saying we cannot possess anything rather is Jesus don't want things to possess us=)
