Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church, and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying, but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games, but they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Church?

Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event for church 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?

Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others, but how easy it is to gossip?

Isn't it strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say, but we question the words in the Bible?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven, but they don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?

Isn't it strange how we send jokes in emails and they are forwarded right away, but when we are going to send messages about God, we think about it twice before we share it with others?

we are often put in positions where choices have to be made because when we make the right decision, faith is displayed. we exercise faith when we put that hard earn $50 into the offering envelope, instead of splurging it on a shopping trip.we exercise faith when we tell people of who our Lord is and how He changed our lives, instead of shying away from topics concerning religion for fear of rejection. we exercise faith when we pray for someone else's problems, instead of just saying we care yet doing nothing. what do we choose to do today? I do hope that even as this post caught your attention, God has your conviction of the choices you are going to make.

STUDY HOURS!

hey for those who are not in cell group.
this is for you.
and a reminder to everybody=)
please START to count everyday the number of hours you study.
STUDYing include = tuition, homework time, self-study and remedial (provided you are really listening)

YES!

MIN of 15 HOURS is Required.
ESP for GLADYS=)
haha so the rest including me need to study 15 hours.
on sat during cell group, we will give you the chart for you to write down each day you study how many hours.
those who fulfill 15 hours can smile and pat your back.
those who don't...... hehe=)

Tuesday: 2 Hours
Wednesday: 3 hours

wah i am SUPER EXCITED!

and TRUE OR DARE - hahaha so i can know ur secrets.

1) Sheryl, jacelyn and gang will be buying masmallow, hotdog, crabmeat, satay, sweet potato and fishball.

2) Khoon and gang will be buying fish, sotong, prawn, chicken wing and fried beehoon

3) Yuting and gang will be buying tibits, drinks and paper plates.....

4) Pei Ru and chang yen will be buying CHARCOAL and fire starters.

5) Lastly our sweet joys will buy honey and butter.

HEHE so if ur name is not mention, feel free to approach and be in their gang. if not just come with an EMPTY STOMACH.
OR if there's anything u wanna buy, u can jus buy=))

we will be meeting 5.30pm at CCK MRT!

ANNOUNCEMENTS.

1. Please bring BB fortnight card by this Sat. With the amount of money collectd.

2. Please bring 5 dollars for our super fun BBQ on 20 Apr.

3. There will be prayer meeting this wednesday at church office, 4.30pm.
do come for a time of intercession for the church, cell group and yourself=)

4. Study hours.
from today onwards, please start to count how many hours you study each day.
excluding school lessons, remedial can be counted only if you really pay attention=)
tuition can be counted too.
Jot down on a piece of paper and bring it on Sat.
ESPECIALLY for O Level student. GLADYS TAN=P

5. MOTHER'S DAY
there's a mother's day celebration on 11 May 2007 (Friday)
The ticket is $12 each. so if you are going with your mother, it's $24.
=) If you love your mother, and your mother have not received Jesus love,
do invite and bring her down.

Hey dears.

It's great to see this blog alive and kicking with so many tags.
The BBQ really bring all of us here uh.

Anyway, even as we are all excited bout the BBQ, lets' not forget to keep our cell group in prayers. Today, small jacelyn was telling me that she was reading cleo's blog one day and felt the need to pray for cleo to be able to come church. So she just say a prayer after reading and guess what! Cleo joined us on saturday. Totally cool uh!!! So don't underestimiate the power of your prayers.

So this week, we are going to pray for these few things..

1. Good weather on our BBQ day. We won't like our chicken wing to taste like the rain, right.

2. For people like cleo, racheal, pamela, lilin (just to name a few) that they would be able to join us in church every week. We would all love to have them aroud uh.

3. For the strength and discipline to read our bible, pray and listen to what He got to say to us. This is vital and all of us really need this!!

4. For our cell members. You know each of their individual's prayer request. So just keep them in ya prayers.

That's all for now. I'm hoping to hear more stories bout what you prayed for and how God answered and bring it to past. It really encourages me.So pray pray pray until something happen.
